چکیده
Polylactic acid (PLA) was melt-blended with epoxy resin to study the effects of reaction on mechanical and thermal properties PLA. The addition 0.5% (wt/wt) PLA increased maximum tensile strength (57.5 MPa) 67 MPa, whereas 20% improved elongation at break 12%, due crosslinking caused by reaction. morphology PLA/epoxy blends showed nanoparticle dispersion in matrix that presented a smooth fracture surface high content. glass transition temperature decreased an increasing content owing partial miscibility between resin. Vicat softening 59 °C 64.6 for epoxy. NMR confirmed -COOH groups This reaction, blend, interfacial crosslinking, morphology, properties, blends.

In this study, we used diglycidyl ether bisphenol A (DGEBA) as a matrix, the ABA block copolymer poly(ethylene oxide-b-propylene oxide-b-ethylene oxide) (Pluronic F127) as an additive, and diphenyl diaminosulfone (DDS) as a curing agent to prepare flexible epoxy resins through reaction-induced microphase separation (RIMPS). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed the existence of hydr...

The goal of this research was to study the curing behavior and biodegradability DER 736 modified with epoxidized oleic acid. In this paper we demonstrate the efficient epoxidation of oleic acid with performic acid generated in situ from formic acid and hydrogen peroxide in the presence of H2SO4 as catalyst. The highest relative epoxy yield of 61% was achieved at 40 ͦC after 10 h. DER 736 modifie...
متن کاملMechanical and Thermal Properties of Chemically Modified Epoxy Resin
Diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA), having number average molecular weight (Mn) 375, was modified by incorporating the hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) based prepolymer using isophorone diisocyanate as a coupling agent. To increase the compatibility between the epoxy resin and HTPB part, polar groups were introduced in the later to achieve physical and chemical interactions between...
متن کاملMechanical Property and Structure of Covalent Functionalised Graphene/Epoxy Nanocomposites
Thermally reduced graphene nanoplatelets were covalently functionalised via Bingel reaction to improve their dispersion and interfacial bonding with an epoxy resin. Functionalised graphene were characterized by microscopic, thermal and spectroscopic techniques. Thermal analysis of functionalised graphene revealed a significantly higher thermal stability compared to graphene oxide. Inclusion of ...

PLA biocomposites were prepared using three corn cob fractions and a wood fiber as reference. The composites were characterized by tensile testing, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and polarization optical microscopy (POM). Micromechanical deformation processes were followed by acoustic emission measurements. The different strength of the components was proved by direct measurements. Two cons...
